blog

hello, fellow scholars!

since all of us wanted this kind of virtual connection, i decided to have an online portal for our n.c.r. group. in this way, we can keep each other updated. we don't have a site yet so i took advantage of this blog.

after our memorable three-day event, all are in anticipation of the next reunion. in worst case, we can have our bonding together sessions after a year due to discrepancies in our academic year schedules and some of us are graduating and will be more studious *cough cough* to finish our short-term goal.

but, i believe that this blog can do something to cross those barriers. treat this blog as our chat room. compared to the limited number of characters in SMS, our blog can even reach more scholars since all of us surf the net at least once a month. more than a chat room, it is a talk-and-listen venue. it is a story sharing kinda bonding session we did during the ciudad christia nights.

plus! we can also post our pictures here!

each of us shall received an invitation to join Yahoo! Groups OWWA NCR Scholars * and an invitation to be a contributor to our blog. Our alternative link is http://alamna.tk.

in line with our group and blog's name 'Alam Na!', i haven't thought of any catchy and more-than-the-usual League of the OWWA NCR blah blah thing... so i become biased here since it was the name of the most popular group in the conference. To the other groups, 'Gudlak!'. Anyways, if you have any contentions, just post it here.

posting is simple. you can post your story or update or any inspirational message once you become a blogspot blogger. you can tag also on our board. just key-in your name there. we encourage you also to comment and to reply with each other's posts.

there are also links to other personal blogs. feel free to visit and to shout.

what's the difference of having a separate blog from an online group? in our Y! group, we can upload files (pictures and documents) and create tables in our database* there. we can announce and forward messages there. but since it will be sent to us in our email, the tendency is that we'll skip them reading and the replies are cluttered in our inbox. in our blog, at least, posts are kept organized.

anyways, they are only one click away to each other. so there will be no problem if have two homes.

just always keep each other updated.

* If you don't receive any, you can click the link, and join immediately. I'll be approving your request. I'll be restricting our group not because we don't welcome people from other regions but we might talk of something considered very confidential or personal. Hihihi.

* One of the tables is our profiles.
